5 must-see places in Seville, Spain

Hello! How's everyone doing? So, recently, right after celebrating New Year, I went on a trip to Seville and I LOVED it!
Seville is the capital and largest city of the region of Andalusia and it is situated on the plain on the river Guadalquivir in the south of Spain.
Today, I wanted to show you my TOP 5 places, that you HAVE TO see while visiting this gorgeous city! Let's get started, shall we?

1. Metropol Parasol

This weird looking structure is made out of wood and it was designed by a German architect and completed in 2011. There is a great view point at the top of this and the entrance is only 3 euro, so you can enjoy amazing panoramic views of the whole city! I also recommend going in the evening (you can buy tickets until 11pm I think) as the city looks also beautiful at night.

2. Plaza de España, aka Spanish Square.

It was built in 1928 and it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, The architecture is breathtaking and walking around makes you feel like you belong in a fairy tale. Also fun fact for Star War fans, one of the movies was filmed right in this place!

3. La Catedral and La Giralda.

It is a Roman Catholic cathedral that was registered in 1987 by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It was built in the 16th century and it is the largest cathedral in Spain. The interior is really fascinating and there is a possibility to climb the bell tower, La Giralda, to get even better view of the city (it's higher than Metropol Parasol).

* also, there are Gypsies around the Cathedral that will try to tell you about your future. Just know, that they will later want to take a lot of money from you, so don't even start talking with them :)

4. Real Alcázar

This is a Royal Palace built in the 12th century and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Just so you know, there is always a huge line to get to this place and also if you don't have a student's card, the price is quite high but it is worth visiting. There are many gardens around the palace and every garden has it's style and story and was created for someone else. Also, you may know this from Game of Thrones, as it was one of the locations used in the series.

5. Torre del Oro

This is like, pne of the symbols of Seville. You can see it on every postcard or picture. It is situated by the river and was placed there to control access to the city. It also served as prison and now is one of the most popular tourist attractions. You can also climb the tower and see the city and the river from the top.

So, those are my TOP 5 things that you must see while in Seville. There are also many other things to visit. The city has so much to offer, from the pretty streets, to great food and flamenco shows. This is a perfect winter destination as the weather is beautiful, the sun is shining and the temperatures are pretty high having in mind that we're in the middle of winter. Also, if you, like me, love to take photos during the trips, Sevilla is a perfect place for you! There light is great and every corner looks amazing in the pic!

So, if you ever thought about going there, well...it's really worth it!
