Bella ciao bella ciao bella ciao, ciao, ciao...

Hello! It's finally December aka my second favourite month of the year, not only because it's my birthday month, but also because....CHRISTMAS!

Anyway, today I wanted to tell you about a phenomenon of the past few months, which is the "Bella ciao" song ("Goodbye beautiful" in English).

The song has become really famous recently, and all of that because of a Spanish TV series called "La casa de papel" also known as "Money Heist". The series is about a group of robbers that is hired by a man that calls himself The Professor to rob the Royal Mint of Spain.

One of the recurring songs in the series is the "Bella ciao" song which was originally created in the 19th century in Italy and has become an anthem of the anti-fascist resistance during Italian Civil War between 1943 and 1945.

People liked this song so much that someone decided to create a remix and now you can hear it even in clubs. For me, as a person who studied Italian for 3 years and can understand the words, it's really surprising that such a serious song, which is about saying goodbye to a loved one to go fighting for freedom of the country, has become so popular. But, not to be critical, I gotta admit that it's a really catchy song and once you hear it, you can't get it out of your head.

Nevertheless, the series is so good! If you haven't already, watch it now! It's full of action, intrigue and plot twists. I totally recommend it to you.
