Hello! Today I'll tell you a bit about my experience in travelling during winter months and why you should also consider planning a litlle trip in that time of the year.
I love going on trips, whether it's in Poland or somewhere abroad I just love visiting new places, meeting new people, trying local cuisine and practising languages. And when is the best time to travel? If you asked me some time ago I'd say that it's definitely summer but now I'd say it's winter. Why, you ask?
Here are 3 main reasons why travelling aborad during winter is a great option:
1. tickets, tickets, tickets...
It's no secret that winter in many cities is a "dead season", which means that some cities are more appealing for people during summer and they don't want to travel there during winter. What comes with it? Well, the prices are definitely lower and you can book some really cheap flights and have as much fun in the place during winter as people do in summer. So don't waste your time and search for a flight!
2. accommodation
Not only the prices of the plane tickets are lower during winter, it's also so much easier to find a nice place to stay when there aren't as many people everywhere. There are thousands and thousands of options to choose from. You can easily find an apartment in the heart of the city with an amazing view of the old town or you can rent a little cottage near the seaside and start your days with a walk by the water. I can totally recommend you booking your place on Airbnb! It's super easy to navigate and there will always be something for everybody.
3. more space, less crowds
Many people go on holidays during summer time and what comes with it is the cities like Barcelona, London or Rome are overcrowded. What happens during winter? Of course the tourists don't disappear completely but there aren't that many of them which gives you a great opportunity to see the city in it's full glory and without wasting your time on waiting in huge lines. Also during winter it's easier to get to know the locals and have a glimpse at their everyday life.
I hope my post inspired you to start planning your trip and if so, good luck then!
